Contractors Raise
 $7 Million for Israel

Local 3 Business Representative Douglas R. Griffith (right) received the Israel Achievement Award for his role in helping the Electrical Industries Division in New York raise $7 million for the State of Israel. The annual fund-raising effort, started 45 years ago by Local 3’s Harry Van Arsdale, raises pledge money from contractors used for bond sales to strengthen Israel’s economy. Local 3 Assistant Business Manager Raymond Melville (left) presented the award to Griffith.
