Senator Max Cleland is vying for a second term against Republican nominee Saxby Chambliss. Cleland, who served in Vietnam where he was severely injured in a grenade explosion, has been a popular moderate on matters of concern to the IBEW.

Chambliss, who is serving his fourth term as a congressman, voted against the interests of labor by voting for fast track trade authority for President Bush and in favor of President Bush’s tax cut for the richest Americans.
